Recorded by W.D. Campbell (1899) and F.D. McCarthy (1947). Motifs at this site include a large whale with pectoral fins and tail, eyes, multiple lines indicating joint locations, female figure with outstreched arms and legs and drawn mostly within the whale motif, goanna (Campbell’s ‘iguana’) and skate (Campbell’s ‘circle with a sword-like projection’) with eyes drawn within the whale motif. A waterhole (gnamma) is nearby with an associated grinding groove below and an engraved channel just upslope and partly surrounding it. Other more recent channels upslope of the engraving (also recorded by McCarthy) were installed to redirect swamp seepage away from the site.
An engraving of a whale with overlapping female figure, skate and goanna nearby on the America Bay Track, Lambert Peninsula KCNP.
