Much of the natural bushland of the GeoRegion is conserved within eight protected areas of; Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, Muogamarra Nature Reserve, and parts of Berowra Valley National Park, Lane Cove National Park, Garigal National Park, and Long Reef Aquatic reserve.

Fascinating rock formations, stunning viewpoints, coastal, forest and woodland walks with evolving geotrails allow visitors to view the natural and cultural history of an area that has developed over millennia.
